Matthew Callahan’s career began in Albany, New York, in 1986 when he took a position as a customer service representative for Simmons Fasteners. This company was one of the largest manufacturers of case latches, quarter turn fasteners, and thermo plastics for the appliance industry. The calling for outside sales opened for him in 1988 when Matthew joined Graham & Whitehead, out of North Reading, Massachusetts. There, he represented the Microdot companies, including Central Screw, Greer Locknut, International Screw (Ring Screw), Semblex, National Rivet, Everlock Chicago, and many others. He spent eight years as Territory Manager for the agency, covering the New England states. In 1994, M.J. Callahan Inc. was formed and represents the top-quality lines in the fastener industry. In 2023, Matthew's son Christian joined the company bringing his prior sales knowledge and expertise to the business.
